I joined Navman Wireless simply because I wanted to work for a company that was the leader in its market. Navman Wirelesses success provided opportunities due to its continuing growth that allowed me to keep building on my career path.

The roles I have been in since starting at Navman Wireless are:
- Global Technical Support (Dec 2004 - July 2007): This role entailed managing, building and supporting our international partner's servers in Australia, the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States.
- Regional Sales Manager (July 2007 - Current)

In my current role I am responsible for:
Managing a territorial area and assisting the dealer channels in this area with opportunities in the market.

The thing I enjoy most about my job is:
The combination of passionate people making a great product, and the great atmosphere here at Navman Wireless.

I have worked at Navman Wireless since: September 2004

I joined Navman Wireless because:
In roles previous to Navman Wireless I was working with many hats. Navman Wireless gave me the opportunity to focus solely on supporting customers. When joining Navman Wireless I did not truly appreciate the experience and career growth that would be part of the job. Navman Wireless has given me the opportunity to expand my technical knowledge in many areas, simply by learning the product and associated technologies.

The roles I have been in since starting at Navman Wireless are:

Technical Support (Sept 2004 - April 2006): First and second tier support for New Zealand customers.
- Global Technical Support (April 2006 - Sept 2007): Third tier support for support teams globally, focusing mainly on servers.
- Global Support Team Lead (Sept 2007 - April 2008): Leading the global helpdesk.
- Solutions Specialist (April 2008 - Current) 

In my current role I am responsible for:
Liaising with the technical teams in each region for field trials and investigating issues as they arise from this. Ensuring that what is released meets the business requirements. Additionally working closely on new products for field validation.

The thing I enjoy most about my job is:
No two days are the same. The technical challenge keeps me satisfied and stretches my mind. Navman Wireless has an amazing group of people that makes doing the job enjoyable.

Matt / New Zealand Software Manager

I have worked at Navman Wireless since: September 2008

I joined Navman Wireless because:
Navman Wireless is a high-tech company with aggressive targets to expand its presence in the Fleet Tracking industry. It is a company that supports and rewards achievement. This role at Navman Wireless gives me the opportunity to utilize and expand my skills to ensure that everyone on the team feels motivated, energized and rewarded for the excellence they produce.

The roles I have been in since starting at Navman Wireless are:
New Zealand Software Manager

In my current role I am responsible for:
Managing all software releases across the New Zealand, United States and India based teams. Part of this role also manages the production support aspects that come with any release of software to production environments. I manage the New Zealand team and their delivery into the wider release process. I play an active role in defining and implementing the processes and tools we use to develop, quality assure and deliver our products to market.

The thing I enjoy most about my job is:
The role brought immediate challenges around establishing core fundamentals around software engineering best practices and disciplines. Implementing these and seeing the team and productivity improve has been a real payback for me.

We're also focusing on becoming a true global development team (Akl & Sillicon Valley). This will demand different skills and maturity; our processes and practices ensure everyone is keenly aware of what is expected of them so they can deliver the very best for the Navman Wireless brand and suite of products it provides. Guiding the team and their delivery of products through these challenges are the things I enjoy most.

In my current role I am responsible for:
Populating, updating and improving the client/customer database. 
Assisting the Marketing Manager & Marketing Specialist in all our marketing activities.

Cameron / Global Support Engineer Cameron - Navman Wireless

I have worked at Navman Wireless since: August 2007

I joined Navman Wireless because:
The Navman Wireless brand is a household name and being part of a global technology innovator is a great experience. Navman Wireless is a diverse company technologically and culturally.

The roles I have been in since starting at Navman Wireless are:
- IT Support for Auckland Office (Aug 07 - Nov 07)
- Global Technical Support: Leading the third tier support function, focused mainly on regional application software maintenance (Aug  - Aug 08)
- IT Administration of the Asia Pacific region. (Nov 07 - Current)

In my current role I am responsible for:
Liaising with the technical teams in each region for software fault resolution and feature requests. I manage regional issues with our product and work with the R&D teams to create solutions. Our team manages the systems in many countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Chile. In additional I manage local IT services for the Asia Pacific region.

The thing I enjoy most about my job is:
The constant challenge of new and exciting problems to solve, working with the other teams internationally and resolving issues with them.

Rob / Firmware Engineer Rob - Navman Wireless

I have worked at Navman Wireless since: September 2008

I joined Navman Wireless because:
I joined Navman Wireless because of the interesting mix of technologies (GPS, Cellular); this was a change for me from a military environment to the commercial environment. It seemed to be a good work environment with interesting people, and a positive forward looking company.

The roles I have been in since starting at Navman Wireless are:
Firmware Engineer

In my current role I am responsible for:
Development (design, implementation, testing) and maintenance of embedded firmware.

The thing I enjoy most about my job is:
The technical challenges, work is always changing and I have a good working environment.
